About Peter Truong

Design that knows
how things actually get built.

For more than 30 years, I’ve built my career around one core passion: helping people visualize what’s possible.
My professional background began in illustration and product design, where I spent decades developing a trained eye for composition, balance, detail, and creative problem-solving. That artistic foundation continues to shape every landscape design I create today—bringing together beauty, function, and a thoughtful sense of place tailored to each client’s home and lifestyle.
Over the past four years, I’ve expanded that creative expertise with hands-on experience in residential landscape installation. That practical knowledge gives me a deeper understanding of how designs come together in the real world—what works, what doesn’t, and how to create plans that are both inspiring and achievable.
I specialize exclusively in creative landscape design for residential properties. I do not offer installation or maintenance services, which allows me to focus entirely on what I do best: helping homeowners uncover the hidden potential of their outdoor spaces through clear, customized visual design.
My goal is simple: to remove the guesswork.
Before making costly decisions or committing to construction, you deserve to feel confident in your vision. Through detailed design concepts and realistic visual presentations, I help you see your property’s possibilities clearly—so you can move forward with excitement and certainty.
Clients appreciate that I’m not only creative, but also fast, friendly, and highly responsive. I value clear communication and a collaborative process, making sure you feel heard and supported from the first conversation to the final design.
Every property has potential. My role is to help you discover it—and bring your ideas to life before the first stone is ever placed.

WHY WORK WITH PETER

What Sets My Work Apart.

01 Built on real installation experience

I’ve spent time in the dirt, not just at a drafting table. My plans account for how grading actually
behaves, what contractors need, and what holds up through a North Idaho winter.

02 30 years of professional design craft

Before landscape work, I built a career in illustration and product design. Your plans are drawn with
that level of precision, clarity, and visual communication.

03 Design-only, always

No installation crew to sell you. No maintenance contracts. Just an independent designer whose only
interest is giving you the best possible plan for your property.

Testimonials

Peter designed a brick paver driveway and stepping stone pathways for us, integrating these elements into existing hardscape and softscape. In addition to melding the new into old, he also skillfully handled an elevation issue in bringing the driveway down to street level without disturbing surrounding softscape. We are delighted with Peter’s design which resolved all the issues and looks fabulous. We would not hesitate to use Peter again for future hardscape design.

Larry B.

Peter was fantastic on my project… He was meticulous with his detail and completely devoted to my project… He wanted it to be exceptional and I’m very pleased with the results. I thank you for your time and effort and caring so much, Peter!
